Reach Falls in Portland, Jamaica is one of the most amazing natural waterfalls that the island has to offer.
It is peacefully situated amongst exotic virgin rain forest.
Located on the eastern end of Jamaica in Portland, it’s approximately an hour and a half drive from Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
This is truly beautiful setting. The water is cool, refreshing, and crystal clear. Vines hang and natural bamboo stand throughout the falls. You will see species of plants here that you won’t see anywhere else in the world.
The scenic hike and swim up the river is sheer beauty.
If you go beneath the waterfalls you will see hidden holes that are naturally carved out by the water. You’ll even find a secret cave behind one of the falls that you can step in, then climb out just above the cascade.
Reach Falls is somewhat remote so not many tourists know about it. Dont be surprised if you have the place all to yourself when you go.
Ever since the government took over this attraction, no vendors have been allowed to harass visitors into buying anything. This is truly a peaceful adventure.
